Our company is owned by Anthony V (also called “Ant”), who is the founder of the company. He’s worked for over a decade within the sports therapy and personal training industries. He’s gained exceptional expertise and knowledge that has taken him from working with Olympic athletes and high-profile triathlon teams to holistic and sports massage treatments for those suffering from everyday aches and pains.
In addition, Ant is a highly qualified personal trainer. If you suffer from aches and pains, postural imbalances, or muscle weakness due to injury, Ant can help. Most of these issues can be fixed through proper instruction, the right training program, and learning to activate and lengthen specific muscles.
Each of our massage therapists has years of experience in sports and holistic massage therapy to help you feel better and decrease pain and stress.
What Massage Services Do We Provide?
We provide the following services at Circle 8 Massage:
- Sports massage – uses a mix of pressure and techniques to speed up your recovery time and help prevent future injuries.
- Deep tissue message – is highly beneficial to relieve persistent or sporadic severe aches and pains, general soreness, stiffness in the upper & lower back, shoulders, legs, neck, or relieve muscle tightness.
- CBD oil massage– has a broad range of benefits when it comes to reducing inflammation and relieving stress, anxiety, and pain. When CBD oil is combined with deep tissue massage, the effect will amaze you.
- Kinesiology taping– uses Kinesio tape (also called K-Tape), which is an elasticised tape designed to provide support as it works to alleviate pain. This therapy does not treat the cause of the injury; however, it can help alleviate some of the symptoms you’re experiencing.
- Pregnancy massage – is a therapy that works to reduce stress and anxiety that are common during pregnancy. This is also a great way to target those areas that are most affected by a pregnancy, including the upper/lower back, hips, and other muscles that are feeling tired and tense
Our treatments combine personal training, corrective exercise, and advanced massage combined with deep knowledge and understanding of the human body to provide the relief you need. We don’t treat you the same way other sports therapists do. We understand body mechanics and how to get you feeling better again.
We offer a wide range of treatments (see above), and our sports massage and deep tissue massage are done with a “positive pressure” on your muscles. We offer a range of hands-on techniques and positional release techniques to help relieve your pains and injuries. Whether your injuries and pain are caused by sitting hunched over a computer for long hours a day or by a trip to the gym, we can help you feel incredibly better.
Complementary Therapies from Massage Therapists Leeds
At Circle 8 Massage, we don’t shy away from those “other” treatments, such as Cupping Therapy and Hypervolt Therapy. We understand these alternative therapies can be beneficial for some of our clients and provide the relief they need.
Cupping Therapy uses a “negative pressure” applied to your muscles. It can be especially beneficial for areas that are too painful to use regular massage therapy. Cupping is also the right option for anyone who has a low pain threshold.
Hypervolt Therapy is a relatively new form of treatment. It uses a handheld percussion device to stimulate and warm up muscle tissue. These devices are great for pre/post workouts and can help before a deeper massage to warm up your tissues.

Do You Have Health Insurance?

Here are some of the most common questions we hear about our massage therapy services:
1. Do You Use Wax or Oil?
We use a range of waxes and oils, including Songbird Wax. We also use grapeseed oil and some incredible aromatherapy oils, too.
2. Do You Use Heated Massage Beds?
Our massage bed in the Holistic Room is a Master Massage Thermatop couch, which is heated and quite comfortable. The massage beds in our sports massage rooms are not heated.
3. Do You Offer Background Music, and Can I Choose the Music During the Massage?
Yes to both! You can choose the music you’d prefer to listen to. Or we can choose the music and you can let us know if it’s working for you or not. We have Spotify, so we have access to a broad range of music you can choose from.
4. Is it possible to book multiple treatments with the same therapist?
It depends on the treatments you book, and it is possible you could be with a different therapist in a different room. We do aim to keep you in the same room; however, that may not always be possible.

Ant was welcoming, took my pain history and talked me through what he was manipulating. Been having a lot of trouble with my left hip, went for a walk today and no hint of old pain. He sent me exercises to do after my appointment to continue to strengthen my problem areas. Will be booking again soon.
Ant is brilliant – he really knows anatomy and massage, and will not only fix you with his hands, but also send you exercises to help prevent issues reoccurring. In addition, you’ll have a good chat, get film recommendations, and all with alt rock background music – far better than the usual ambient pan pipe nonsense. Highly recommended!
Ant is brilliant ! He has the knowledge of a great physio combined with strong and targeted massage technique that just works and gets me moving again ! Turned up with a sore kneee that wouldnt bend left completely fine and fixed plus a clear understanding of what had caused the problem.
